You are cordially invited to submit your work to CompleNet 2027, the 18th Annual Conference on Complex Networks, to be held at the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY, USA, on March 9–12, 2027.

CompleNet brings together researchers and practitioners from diverse disciplines — from sociology, biology, and physics to computer science — who share a passion for understanding the interdependencies within and across systems. It is a venue to discuss ideas and findings about all types of networks: biological, technological, informational, and social.

Contributions are presented as oral presentations (regular or lightning talks) or posters. All oral presentations take place in a single plenary session — with no parallel tracks — offering heightened exposure and integration across topics and expertise.

Types of Contribution

Authors may submit either a full paper or an extended abstract.

Papers

Published in proceedings

Papers must follow the Springer format and not exceed 12 pages (long papers) or 8 pages (short papers). Page limits include all references, figures, tables, and captions. Due to space constraints, some long-paper submissions may ultimately be accepted as short papers.

  • Accepted papers are published in the conference proceedings in Springer’s Complexity series
  • Submit a PDF generated from the Springer LaTeX or Word template
  • After acceptance, the LaTeX source (not Word) is required for the proceedings
  • Presented as oral presentations, lightning talks, or posters

Extended Abstracts

Not published in proceedings

Extended abstracts must be one to two pages (US Letter or A4, 1-inch margins, 10-point font, single-spaced) and submitted in PDF. Each abstract must include exactly one figure with a caption; the figure and any references count toward the two-page limit.

  • Ideal for work in progress or research already published elsewhere
  • Presented as oral presentations, lightning talks, or posters
  • Not included in the Springer proceedings
  • Submissions that do not meet these requirements will not be considered

Topics of Interest

CompleNet welcomes contributions on all aspects of network science, including:
